“Luna doesn’t leave home” is a 2020 short film born from a profound need to explore a theme I’ve long been pondering: our relationship with life and how its fragility makes it so precious. I decided to translate this need into a concrete artistic project by turning to Davide, who, with incredible finesse, wrote and directed the short film, involving a dream crew. This short makes tangible something that for me was an abstract concept, difficult to express due to its complexity.
Following the loss of one of the people she loves most in the world, Luna decides to shut herself away at home. Instead of “living” day by day, she begins to “survive.” Her younger sister doesn’t react the same way, and their relationship becomes intertwined with reconciliation with life itself.
“Luna doesn’t leave home” was a wonderful experience, both professional and personal. I couldn’t be happier and more honored.
