the character

from the great masters of the Actors Studio to the pedagogy of Jacques Lecoq

What is it? How do you build it? How do you analyze it?

In this workshop, we skillfully combine physical, analytical, and imaginative work, using our emotions to guide a deep exploration of the human experience, helping you bring roles and characters fully to life.

Drawing on the techniques of the great masters of the Actors Studio and Group TheatreStella Adler, Sanford Meisner, Lee Strasberg—and the pedagogy of Jacques Lecoq, this is a comprehensive, three-dimensional approach engaging all your tools: physical, vocal, psychological, and emotional, to fully inhabit the character.

In this workshop, you will:

  • Build your own personal toolbox for creating and embodying characters
  • Immerse yourself in a unique artistic and analytical journey, discovering new ways to approach performance
  • Challenge yourself and gain awareness of your own skills and instruments to carry into your everyday acting practice
